Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

View attachment 137876

The A515 heading back to Buxton.

Note to self:
Don't pitch camp where there is a slope up to the road and snow is forecast, without either (a) winter tyres or (b) 4motion or (c) preferably both!

Thankfully option (d) was available, i.e. Gary and Neil at Lathkill Dale Campground with a tow-rope and a Discovery. We will be back, in summer next time!
Wow, looks amazing. Hope you made it home OK.

Went to Oundle Marina..loads of vans in different stages next door…..Turns out that it’s a conversion company called Redline ?…
Drove back up north …..I Hate the M6 …..J18/19 closed 8 mile tailback……needless to say the poor van needs a good wash…
:(

Think there is Revolution Conversions there as well? Also aren't RHales there who did @Oldrat 's Crafter?

Did you get to the brewery tap and shop at the Wharf? Fantastic beer.

Beer and Van’s…oh I missed that one …..Sadly just dropped the trailer and went to Corby ( ps ..never seen so many Red kites flying around ) Went back to collect it later in the Dark…..and then had the journey from hell getting back….The van behaved impeccably and I love my LED lights in the dark as the satnav took me on every country road to get home to avoid M6….but so much better than the M25 no short cuts just gridlock ….:)

Yep, Rhales are near Oundle, but well hidden.

Richard doesn’t advertise, and yet he currently is booked solid for the next 18 months.

Inchcape vw bodyshop to collect my van, unfortunately as previous comments pointed out their workmanship is not that great at all, let's just say I've left without my van . Hopefully the issues will be resolved and I'll be happy.

How they mop up business, I do wonder!

I know! It's really disappointing, I've a feeling they'll say that's the best they can do next time I pick it up. Preparing myself to walk away and look to have it rectified elsewhere at my cost. Paintworx looks decent although far away it'll be worth it if the Mrs let's me have a full respray (different colour)

Paintwork is going Rolls Royce from what I’ve read on here! Maybe drop Santa a line?!!

It’s a shame to hear that. I had a TT rebuilt entire front end there 11 years ago and you couldn’t tell. 16k insurance bill as well.

I know there are good repairs and bad repairs. Mine didn't make the cut unfortunately. They've resprayed the whole side and the paint is rippled so bad in some areas you can't make out the reflection, also there is a ripple in the panel they have pulled out, really noticeable too.

Sorry…..I was hoping they had changed….The Manchester dealer sent me to them after they bodged a recall on the sliding door motor seal….hope you get it sorted ….

We’ve been meeting old friends in Wentnor, Shropshire. Surprise surprise, we woke up to snow.

We have Truma 4e heating and it quietly works a treat. It was the first time we have had it on all night having previously used it occasionally during the daytime so far.

It’s a brilliant bit of kit and we well recommend it if you are spec’ing a build.

When considering our build we pondered Truma 4 or 6e…

Well I can confirm that for a LWB Crafter the 4e is certainly man enough, the 6e would definitely be overkill.

Love the snow pictures, we are going into summer so they look different to anything around here. Does snow make it harder to go about your normal life or are you just used to it . Just curious.
