Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Love the snow pictures, we are going into summer so they look different to anything around here. Does snow make it harder to go about your normal life or are you just used to it . Just curious.
For most of England it's once or twice a year, everything grinds to a halt for one day, then it's gone. We don't get regularly enough to be set up to deal with it like most of Northern Europe.

Rarely have enough hanging around for a decent snowman, snowball fight or sledging!

@CAB...Been meaning to ask how comfortable you were on this night...did you have your heater on all night (Webasto)? Do you have an external pop top insulated cover or did you put the roof down at night? and did you use a front external windscreen cover, or internal, or both? Thanks buddy!
No screen, the van came with heavy curtains, an external screen would be better but these do us.

Insulated pop top cover (Pucer) makes a huge difference, cuts out wind, rain, big thermal difference.

No roof bed so sleeping downstairs. Only put the roof down when really stormy, but would make a difference as well.

No heater on, so long sleeve and long leg thermals, duvalay with 10 tog duvet, 2 pairs of socks. Woolly hat for Mrs CAB.

Just like when we were kids, with no central heating, woke up with ice on the inside of the windows! Heater soon warmed it up, cup of tea in bed, lovely!!

That's not really true. England doesn't grind to a halt when there is snow............I'm convinced we throw in the towel at a vaguely hard frost!

We’ve been meeting old friends in Wentnor, Shropshire. Surprise surprise, we woke up to snow.

We have Truma 4e heating and it quietly works a treat. It was the first time we have had it on all night having previously used it occasionally during the daytime so far.

It’s a brilliant bit of kit and we well recommend it if you are spec’ing a build.

When considering our build we pondered Truma 4 or 6e…

Well I can confirm that for a LWB Crafter the 4e is certainly man enough, the 6e would definitely be overkill.

That ford in Clun is always funny .

In The Peak District for a bike ride. Handy having the van considering I was soaked through to the skin so at least I could get changed in the back and not dirty the seats. All went to plan until I slipped on a muddy slope getting as I was getting into it after getting changed, covering my jeans, T shirt and trainers in mud!

I just saw a massive chain wheel, took a while to work it out.

Driven back from the North Lakes to West Yorkshire in the new T6.1 :waving:
First proper outing since buying it mid November.
Stopped overnight near Penrith on a quiet site. Didn't bother with the pop top as it was freezing.
All cosy inside but quite a bit of condensation come morning and cranked up the heater to warm the early morning cold.
Beautiful weather up there, just cold and crisp this morning.
Back to the fog and damp weather of West Yorkshire now with a filthy van on the drive. God knows when I'll find time to clean it now!!! Probably after Christmas!
