Slightly better sunset tonight! Hartland camping and caravan park with sea views (it is there if you look really really hard!)

Crowden in Longdendale, pitched next to a very nice black T6 with all the camping trimmings.



Mrs CAB spent half the weekend talking herself into an awning front, and the other half talking herself out of it!

Then to Woodhead for a stomp around Bleaklow. Spot the van!

Nice little trip out with the wife and some of her family - lunch in a local pub and then over to Promenade Park in Maldon - along with every other person from Essex it seemed

We all sat in and beside the van with some cakes and some drinks after a short stroll.

Currently at Cayton Bay CMC site, with daughter and grandsons. Nice clean site, big pitches. Off to the neach later on to get run ragged by the 2 grandsons. I'll certainly need a beer or 3 tonight.

Went to blackchurch rock today. Really stuffy so had to go for a dip in my pants when we got there
Then on to docton mill for a cream tea (nice place but not great food/service)

Then went on to Welcombe beach, this place is nice but should come with a T6 health and safety warning. Insanely thin roads and insanely bumpy, really nice but don’t drive there is my advance!

This doesn’t really convey the true horror of this drive!

I was driving so that’s a small which is only 20cl in Norway. A taster glass in the UK.

20cl which I think was about £8. So about £22 a pint.
I’ll put that into context, that was a bar on the harbour in the tourist trap of Geiranger.
In Bergen we found a really smart bar right
In the centre that had loads of great beers on tap and I was drinking some amazing DIPA’s, 8% and similar and they were about £11 for 40cl. The sort of thing that would be £6 or £7 for 2/3rds back in the UK.

Left Norway and we are staying on the motorhome parking site at Helsingborg which is on the harbour.
The place is lovely and the city is really smart.
Blazing sun, 25degrees and we got here for 1300 and our ferry from here to Denmark is tomorrow morning, so beer and dinner beckons.
Currently having a beer in a harbour bar.
The van is in amongst the motorhomes at the back of this picture.

Bit of a mission down from Newcastle 6am Monday morning to The Wave Bristol…..disaster of a drive down with a full closure on the A19 that had us head back north and then another hour stuck on the M5 but that’s the joys of travel!! 51mpg on the way down!
Two surf sessions for my son (age 9) on the intermediate setting (grainy phone zoom pic below) and a night at “Camp at the wave” then back on for the 8am Waikiki session with the mrs and son, spot of breakfast and back north to Newcastle!! 57.9mpg on the return journey! Couldn’t believe my eyes! Did just under 700 miles in two days. Well worth it!
