Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

We were in Little Haven last week, lovely place. Jellyfish were massive - seems standard photo is to compare to size of foot - as that's exactly how our photo was taken!!
There’s a small clifftop layby with amazing views a couple of hundred meters up the hill from the centre of Little Haven. Regularly used by small vans for a free night camping.

We stopped at Orio Kampina last night About 13 miles or so from San Sebastian - we wanted to stay until Monday but they were fully booked which is a pity as it's very close to a nice beach with a few bars and restaurants scattered around it. Within an hour of our arrival, I would say that it was full. €23 with ACSI including electricity if all the hookups anywhere near our pitch hadn't already been taken!
We're now camped at Camping Madrid Monte, Calleja del Tercio Nuevo for tonight and tomorrow (and maybe Sunday) before heading down to the coast to see some friend in Quesada for a few days. In contrast, this site is reasonably quite but I suspect it might get busier tomorrow. It's a bit remote but it will give me an excuse to get the bike out to find a supermarket tomorrow - I'll probably have to leave the Mrs behind as she 'doesn't do hills' and there's a few of them around here the might be good detours on the way to the shop. Prices are also creeping up - partly because of the weekend and partly because it's Spain - €42 not ACSI. If i wanted to pay those sort of prices, I would have stayed in BlightyDSC00720B.jpg!

La Charite-sur-Loire for a couple of nights. It’s been very warm today (30) so we have selected a shaded pitch. We are expecting a few light showers over the weekend but it’s still in the high 20’s. The sites are getting busier the further north we get. Most of the sites we have been on have been about 19euro per night with the ACSI card.IMG_2640.jpeg

Cuidad Quesada?

Cuidad Quesada?
If that's the same place as Quesada, I guess the answer's yes.
I don't really know much about the geography of Spain other than what I've learnt on this trip - apart from a holiday in Benidorm as 21 year old and a quick in and out for a football match in 1999, it's probably the only country in Europe that I've not spent much time in (TBH, those experiences put me off even though we did win the game in '99). Saying that, so far the experience this time has been very positive so maybe we will return.

Maybe different. If it is on the Costa Blanca coast just down from Alicante it'll be Cuidad I think, looking at maps Quesada is a lot further inland and further south. I have a place only a few KM's from Cuidad Quesada (Known mainly as just Quesada) which was why I was wondering.

@Bav. Actually born in Salford, partly raised in Brixton (London) and work later took me all over the place - settled in Gloucestershire 29 years ago as I couldn't face going back to Manchester or London. On the plus side, at least Liverpool wasn't in the mix as well.

Also what @Trouts said.

@Nige_g. I think it's the same place - put 'Ciudad Quesada' in Google Maps and it comes up with the place just called 'Quesada' on the zoomed in map.

Never doubted your authenticity for a moment mate.

As a Man U-supporting Tyke, I'm often accused of being a trophy hunter (not so much lately, mind ), but, when I chose my team, Leeds had just won the FA Cup and I railed against their popularity (...preferring to support a team that got relegated a couple of seasons later. Oh the joys of being a contrarian!).

Absolutely what @Trouts said.

@Bav, Don't worry, we will be back. Pep will get fed up and move on, the scousers will get fed up and sack Clippety Klopp, the Saudis will crawl back into their sand pit and the natural order of things will return - oh bugger, I've just woken up and it was such a lovely dream!

It's alright for you lot basking in the heat and sunshine in the UK and France but we're still at Camping Madrid Monte (about 40Km from the aforementioned Madrid) and it's been absolutely peeing down since about 1300 rs. On the plus side, whereas it got very busy friday night and last night, almost everyone bailed before the 1200 hrs checkout today and we're now down to two tents and us on a row of about 16 pitches Hopefully, there will be a bit of sun on the coast tomorrow.

Well kept site.
We found there was quite a bit of noise from the next door Recreation Ground at night though.
If you like a walk; turn left from the entrance, walk all the way to the end of the road; around the bend and past the caravan and camping site. Turn right and a short walk along is the entrance to the forest.
