Its a good site, road noise can be an issue but not too much.@Bobby Turkalino
Well kept site.
We found there was quite a bit of noise from the next door Recreation Ground at night though.
If you like a walk; turn left from the entrance, walk all the way to the end of the road; around the bend and past the caravan and camping site. Turn right and a short walk along is the entrance to the forest.
@Trouts. I sometimes 'struggle with the price' as I firmly believe that some stuff costs more than it should simply because it's VW and / or camper related (but 'er indoors says it's just because I'm getting tight in my old age!). However, I've also got a Railsail which I've posted about on here before and IMHO it's definitely worth the asking price. I got mine as a bargain from another forum member but if I lost it today, I'd order a replacement at full price straight away.
Mine looks more like 8mm. It fits my camper essentials rail perfectly and it the same size as the connection on my Vango awning.hey Guys (and anyone else)
either of you chaps struggle with the size of the Kador on these?
just received mine and on fitting it to the van it seems the Kador is too small for my Multirail
- bizarrely though my 6-6mm Drive away fits the Multirail perfectly.
now having serious misgivings and thinking i should return it...
just wanted to gauge your experiences first. thank you
@Higgidav @Ayjay
when is 6mm not 6mm.
Your post sorely tempted me to go for a quick break somewhere around Buttermere or Ullswater, but it seems all the decent sites are booked-up. So, instead, we're off to North Wales for a couple of nights here...A few days ago, took the opportunity to do the loop from Keswick via Lorton, Crummock Water, Buttermere, Honister, & Borrowdale, and back to Ullswater. Simply stunning!

That's not getting lost, that's just instinct....we emerged at the Churchill Arms on both occasions
We stayed in Dockray which was fab, but had to book it last Christmas and just noticed 2024 filling up already! Enjoy Wales!Your post sorely tempted me to go for a quick break somewhere around Buttermere or Ullswater, but it seems all the decent sites are booked-up

Stayed at the C&CC site at Sandringham, last night, really big site but very quite, a few fellow T5/T6’s in residence
Where/how do you find pubs that offer this service @twotone2? Do you use Brit Stops?View attachment 202420
Spent last night on the car park of the Lifeboat Inn at Thornham, basic no facility's apart from access to the loo’s, but a very nice country pub/restaurant, £10 per night pay at reception
