It’s Davidstow airfield, closed in 1945 & had sporadic use for all sorts since. It’s claim to fame is it’s the highest airfield in the U.K. (or was) at 294m above sea level.What's its history @LondonLad ? I can imagine a wind turbine to provide your needs!

Amazing.....its soo fast and nimble....that 1 was the first spitfire to shoot down a german plane too....so easy to fly...only had a few mins but was amazing....it nadr me realise how brave the young men were who flew this to keep this country safe.Very very jealous . How was it?

No i got it brought for me for my 40th birthday....was through ultimate war birds....was something £3500 for 35 mins in the air.Sounds incredible glad you had a great time. did you do one of the experiences?
I know, I've read so many books on the RAF during the war and its mind blowing what they did, alot were teenagers!!
