It’s Davidstow airfield, closed in 1945 & had sporadic use for all sorts since. It’s claim to fame is it’s the highest airfield in the U.K. (or was) at 294m above sea level.

You can buy direct from Vw the genuine glossy B pillar trims as fitted to some Californias & Shuttles, but they are not what I wanted.
I prefer the slightly textured matt version, bought from here:

Amazing.....its soo fast and nimble....that 1 was the first spitfire to shoot down a german plane too....so easy to fly...only had a few mins but was amazing....it nadr me realise how brave the young men were who flew this to keep this country safe.

I know, I've read so many books on the RAF during the war and its mind blowing what they did, alot were teenagers!!
