Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Cheeky stealth camp over, visited the NEC show and stopped off at this nice pub near Tamworth..
Had a meal and a few drinks and crashed there for the night. Parked in their overspill car park which was really quiet. There’s another pub over the canal and that’s on park4night but was a bit rowdy on a Friday night and parking was limited …
No heating used as it was so mild… mad for mid Feb!

Good choice. There is another decent pub next door called The Red Lion - I know this because they have a play area which the kids insist on if they must be dragged to a pub.
There is also an ancient woodland just up the road.

You wouldn't call it a 'dry run' then!
To be fair the rain held off. But the campsite I'd booked on said hardstanding. Yes if these twots who hire Motorhomes could actually park in a space. Took one look at the overflow and thought feck that. Quagmire. Didn't fancy getting dragged off this morning. So bolted to Abington services. £15 for the night and all facilities open and use of the showers. Very quiet down the bottom of the car park. Slept well. Up at 6am as usual so a nice 60mph tootle back down across the border. Van averaged 41mpg so well happy really. Got to get a mattress topper though!!

Just you and Racheal? Kids upstairs?!

Just me and the 'kid' is 26 so won't be travelling with us! And no upstairs! Racheal bottled at 700 miles for an overnight. Enjoyed the undisturbed sleep to be fair

Quick stop-over last night at The Gate Inn in Nether Whitacre near the NEC. And today wandering the halls at the NEC for the campervan show. Some very tempting vans there!
