Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Skye, day 3! Sorry to bore you with all this, we head for home on Monday!
The Fairy Pools, Glenbrittle.
I am so glad for digital images, every turn and bend produced a fabulous new view that had to be photographed.
The 'road' to it was the worst so far on Skye, pothole central. Occasionally forced off the rubble/tarmac at passing points into deep water filled (it was raining) craters. Passing point etiquette seemed to be lost on many motorists, causing blockages and stress for all.
Once parked up we walked 3km up the 'path' into a cloud which let us know it was there. A dryer day today thank goodness.
Wifey decided to treat us to a great evening meal (again) at 'The hungry Gull' at Staffin, make a reservation, we were lucky!
Most roads on Skye are fine, a few are smooth as silk, my only worry on 20's was today on that Fairy Pool 10 mile track.
Waze has been excellent for pothole warnings.
OK, pictures to bore you!

Yep, that was probably one of the worst roads we found too. Glad you're still able to enjoy the island despite the weather's best efforts.
It has been a fabulous trip, even the 17 year old has been captivated, that takes some doing.
Weather looks good tomorrow, a 14 degree sunny/dry day! Neist point, more walking, hopefully whale and wildlife spotting, next door neighbours antique binoculars at the ready!

It's those smooth roads that catch you out - the terrible ones you have to drive slow on, it's the seemingly great roads that have surprise 1ft deep, wheel eating potholes that appear out of nowhere! The ones you're doing 50mph on, enjoying the view!

Into the stunning Yorkshire Dales to the Kettlewell scarecrow festival. Always a winner.
On the way in there's a field at the side of a river that I've noticed vans in. Swerved on the way back.
Sun, bit of a dip, a snooze, and an expensive (poor) sandwich purchased earlier.

No pics in my Speedos. Soz.

God I love the Yorkshire Dales

We saw Risso’s dolphins at Neist Point.
Have patience.
Holiday looks fantastic so far. Enjoy.

The little pier at Meanish is a nice place to park up and watch all the seals. I saw an eagle sat on the cliffs opposite when we were there.

Racing again at Snetterton, v hot . Qualified P2 . 34 car grid . Fastest lap of the day. Lead whole race by 11sec. Got screwed by safety car out at pit exit ending not a great result . We did our best times this year. Hey that’s racing - Cadwell next our favourite circuit. All live streamed on You tube. Oh,by way the van is a brilliant tow vehicle
