A little wave makes you feel good.

Full of transporters down here at the moment. Lots of waves, but Rob seems right, T4's love it, not so it seems with T5's.

Just back from Cornwall. Loads of wavers and flashers down there last week. Had VIP parking on a day out too - the car park attendant took my money, then moved some orange cones and told me to park by his T5 in corner and out the way of the clumsy tourists  :)

This is the reason I joined this club. This and this alone

Lots of waves on the Jurassic Coast this week so far, from a variety of models. Oddly enough the only blanks have been from a few 6's.

Agree two nice T6 Kombi's today both look and looked away.

I’m new to VW but am pleased to see that waving at each other is something Transporter drivers do as well; I’m a soon to be T6 driver but I currently drive a Defender and waving at fellow Land Rover drivers is something I’ve become accustomed to doing (I look a bit of a plonker when I forget which car I’m driving and wave at Land Rovers from my wife’s X3 though!)

On a recent Land Rover forum thread, one of the moderators discussed the number of Transporter drivers that wave at him in his Defender - the resultant discussions showed that one of the reasons was quite a few members run (or have run) both Transporters and/or Landys.

Think I’ll start waving at Transporters from my Defender from now on as well as Land Rovers to get some practice in so, if you see someone in a Defender enthusiastically waiving at you, they may not have gone mad, it could be me!! :)

A run up to Harrogate and back, waved at about half a dozen T5's - not even a smile back......miserable buggers, never mind, enjoyed the drive, nice scenery, van is just awesome, didn't really want to stop driving when we got home.

Just ONE wave will do, I've been driving everywhere this weekend in Devon but no T6s

I have been into the VW scene for 21 years now (mainly aircooled) and I will never stop waving. I have had the T6 since Tuesday and everyone has waved back at me. T4s, T5s, even a splitty last night on way from work which is not only a rare sight out of a show ground, but usually they never wave at anything beyond a T25!

There was a lot of t4 & t5s in convoy coming into corwen north wales today had a few waves and thumbs up on the way to Barmouth even had a thumbs up from a splitty in Llangollen

Plenty of waves his week, got one off a T2 a couple off some T4's some T5's and a T6 last night but also some ignorant T5 owners that just drove past :( can't win them all.

I had T4's many years ago and a T5.1 Sportline for the three years before getting the T6 and always got acknowledged back if I waved.
Since getting the T6 in January though things seem to have changed ! The older VW Splitty's, Bay's & T25's all still seem happy to wave back but it's the T4's & T5's that totally ignore us now?
Maybe they are a bit jealous  or are just mesmerised by the front LED's DRL's ?

I'll wave! Ex 2007 110XS Defender owner!

@Polzeylad @superflyguy Mine is also a Puma 110 XS (2014) - I had always wanted one but could never justify/afford it so it was top of my car shopping list when I took early retirement a couple of years back and handed back my company car. Love it to bits and intention is to keep it long term but only time will tell how practical this is once I start driving my T6 ("Noo the Gnu"!).

In the meantime I'll keep waving at both!!
