Yeah but that was just for aesthetics. 25mm front, 40mm back. Will probably swap the rears for 35mm at some point.

.... how could you fit the 235 / 70r16? ... do you have this homologated size on the documents? ... the tires are right on the original 16 wheels? ... and without spacers they don't rub anywhere? .. . regards

Hi, Just about to join the swamper gang - currently running -55mm Cobra springs and 19” wheels with low profile tyres on my T6 and have ordered some black modular wheels and BFGs. Am also planning to stick the standard t30 springs back on too.

The tyres are 235/70/16s and the wheels are 16x8 with an offset of ET25. They are ‘gojos’ make which look similar (or are the same) as Tuff Torque?

My question is can I use the existing VW wheel bolts that came fitted to my Highline alloys and assume work with the steel spare underneath? I was able to use them on my 19s because they were also a VW rim - but what about these modulars?

I’ve ordered the required 60.1 to 57.1 spigot rings.

Thanks in advance

sealed the new wheels with C5 today then set about swapping them over.

As usual the Devonports were stuck on the hubs with corrosion so they needed cleaning up, then I found an old set of wheel centres that were the same size as the hub centre (55mm) so all cleaned up and some locktite anti slip added then the wheels fitted.

Sorry to drag up an old thread but do you know if these wheels will fit the T32 with big brakes. Also did you fit spacers with these?

Can anyone tell me what’s the biggest AT I can run on 17” Steels please without any rubbing. I have T32 204 4 Motion.

have a look @4x4tyres.co.uk will show you the Range im getting on well with my BFG KO2s on 16s

Does anyone know if you can fit Amarok 19s with a 55 profile tyre with standard suspension and not have any issues with arches?
Many thanks
Jordan

55 of what? The 55 is a percentage of the width of tyre. So a narrow tyre 55 is smaller depth than a wide tyre 55 if you know what I mean. I run 235 55 on Amarok 18s and they fit fine but are about 4% larger than the standard wheels, so will affect the speedo and braking distances.

255/55/18s wouldn't fit my van. Rubbed on lock and would even achieve full lock when the suspension was compressed.

Just seeking clarification and also sharing what i have found.
Are these suitable for a t32 being 103 rated?
Anyone had any experience with them?
They look very similar to the Michelin latitude but without the michelin £££

Many thanks

I've read all through this thread, excellent information shared. I'm new to this world trying to learn, so any advice appreciated. My van is a 6.1 DSG 2WD SWB T32 with standard suspension and standard 215/60/R17 wheel and tyre setup. I also have direct TPMS.

I'm trying to decide between two different 18X8.5 wheels, one with ET40, the other ET35. I want to fit BF Goodrich KO2 255/55/R18s which gives me -6.49% speedo reading. But 235/55/R18 General Grabber AT3s change my speedo by only -3.62%. I'm also considering Cooper Discoverer ATT 235/55/R18.

All of these choices seem to give me correct load ratings. I'm not to bothered about the speedo change perhaps, its more any effect on gearing, and what issues that may cause with a DSG specifically maybe. So my question really, is -6.49% too much? + any other issues I may get with 255/55/R18s?
