Now this is a proper pick up, sadly now gone but puts all the current crop of pick ups to shame off the beaten track, with the exception of a hilux that is.
Totally pants on road mind although this had a great 5 pot motor and 250 donkeys on tap.

Can anyone recommend an AT Tyre that’s load and speed rated. I like the look of the Latitude Cross.

As far as I'm concerned (and others will have their own opinion) General Grabber AT3s 235/55/18. Load rated by miles, last well (22k so far and still got 5mm) good in the snow and mud. Excellent value for money. Quiet and handle well on the road too. What more would you need from a AT tyre.

I had the AT2 on a Defender years ago and they performed well.

It's an arguable point, winter tyres are often not speed rated and you just don't drive faster than the rating.
If you have an accident and your speed was proved to be more that 130mph then the insurance might not pay out, but I think you might have bigger problems to worry about if that happened...

Personally, I always use tyres that are speed rated as I don't trust weasel insurance companies to apply logic to the situation.

Do you have a spare wheel the same size? Am I right in saying if you fitted a spare of different circumference (even just to get you to a garage) you can mess up the Haldex system.

I have a spare the same size....id say the system wouldnt like different circumferences but others on here will answer that one...in a full technical answer, easier to get a spare the same size id say.
Also, my spare wouldnt quite fit into the carrier underneath. I had a local welder add in a 25mm section that gave the carrier a bit more depth. Dead easy alteration for £10.

I just can't decide on sizes guys. Plan is to run bfs all year round on t32 springs. It's between the 225/60/17 or the 245/60/17.
