This was my marathon done, had to get a longish run in before the M2L in 2 weeks.
you did it on a treadmill?? fair play to you, thats more of an achivement in my eyes as i couldnt do it on a treadmill. Didnt know about the M2L race, im doing The Lap in May but that will have alot more walking in it.

I tried to get a spot on the Lap but all gone until the one in November I think. Will be a great day out that.

New caps will got live on attain tomorrow.
If you are interested drop me a message and I can send you a 10% off code.

Completed my longest run to date at the weekend. The Lap Windermere, 47 miles, it was really hilly and very steep in places, we all had a grest time though

So I've currently got a Garmin 235 and i love the size of it and its not over complicated but i need a new watch as it didnt last the full race of 14hours and with my plans to run even further i need something with a long battery life but not silly expensive at fenix 7 level!!

Get a fenix 6, cheaper now the 7 is out.
Such an upgrade from the 235 (went from 235xt to Fenix 6X sapphire a year ago) although I did get a £200 discount when I did it :p

It’s all about the 7 Solar Sapphire!

@SamD should have seen a good few Attain. caps running! Congratulations, see Dan absolutely smashed it again, we have some mutual friends, re-run is getting bigger too which is great to see.

I’ve had the Garmin fenix 5x sapphire, had it since it came out. Never had any issues with it whatsoever. I’ve done many 109km ultras and no issues with the battery, I’m doing the Chester 100 mile on the 28th, so I’ll see how the battery goes and keep you updated. Well done on completing the Lap.

this, as with many things, will come down to budget (do t6 owners have budgets!)

i had the FR 230 and upgraded to the 245. it's MUCH better watch.
I think one of the biggest criticisms of Garmin watches in the past was the battery life BUT the battery in the new 245 lasts SO much longer than my old 230 (i did a 10hr run on Arran and still had 60% battery left (from a full charge))

although the new range (255 etc) comes out next month...
