Cubby hole ideas

oohh @Fish - that is an idea!

I had the worst saturday diy ever - fitting the diesel heater - nothing matched with the VW parts! I had to tape (with a tape made for high temps even though it shouldnt need it here but just to be safe) the recirculating air duct to the webasto in the end.. hopefully there will be no problems.

The webasto, on the VW mounting fitted perfectly with the holes in the chassis and the tubtaras.. but the webasto and the front step vent were out in 2 planes..

Surprised..even on VW mount?

yup... no more suprised than I!! I only had use of the lift that day so had to continue..
The front step with vent is fine, the VW plastic behind the step cant be that wrong.. but in the end the webasto was too close for the adapter and out of axe maybe 30mm.. seemed alot..

:thumbsdown::unsure:

Yeah - but its the "how" :)
Theres nothing immediately obvious - theres another two spring clips - undoing those doesn't seem to do a lot .

(FWIW - I don't have any experience of popping these types of things!)

Well there’s 2 of us stuck at the same point now, blanking panel out.
The interior of the cubby hole seems like it’s a separate piece so those 2 screws I think just hold that interior piece in place

No they are basically above where the lights are but they only hold the cubby in place they don’t hold the surround
