Hello from Scotland

It's for all T6's (and even some T5's and Crafters).
In fact, I suspect that campers are in a minority.

Pete

Just a quick question to make sure i'm in the right place.... Is this forum for ALL T6 transporters, or just converted to campers?
Mine is simply going to be a works van
Hi @Littlespark ...yes all for one....but some members have very deep pockets....and don’t just tinker ..they cut great big holes in the roof and complain about water getting in ..Really ( mines very simple just carry the camping gear to location and enjoy )

Hello everyone. Having just paid a deposit on a t6 se 9 seater shuttle I guess I have become a member of the VW Transporter cult! I managed to find a LWB in my favourite colour and am planning to have it delivered to Anyvan in Dorset for personalisation. So far I'm thinking roofbars, siderails, front and rear spoliers, full leather interior, and sports styling on the front and rear grills. Also thinking of getting reversing cam installed as I'm not the best at Parker. If anyone has some customisation ideas then please let me know....looking to make it look cool as a d be as functional as possible. The main purpose of the vehicle is to transport me my wife and our 6 kids (5 plus one on the way, due in March) for general use and hopefully some road trips. I live in Dundee, Scotland, but am planning on using vanhaven for the personalisation as I hear they are pretty good

This is a picture of the van I'm buying, il post pics when it's been upgraded

Congrats, first thing I would say is pay the membership here as this group is epic. The help and advice is second to none and the support given is like having an extended Vw family

I welcome advice about local dealers. Aren't Calder Campers more into camper conversions than styling? Whereas vanhaven specialises predominately in exterior and interior styling. If anyone can recommend excellent comanies in Northern England or Scotland, ideally with photos from personal experience, then that would be really helpful.

This link gives an idea of the mind of style I'm going for

Van haven are very good, pricey though.

Enjoy
Yes, they sell the most expensive front splitter in T6 customisation history... im not sure how he kept a straight face when quoting..

Welcome to the club and the forum

Erm, well... I wasn’t blown away when looking to buy from them. The ban I wanted and loved was silly money but I was prepared to pay it as it’s a very long term investment. Long story short the van never happened and I wasted a week of my life...

I got a quote from another company, exploria I really liked the way their quotation system worked, ie sending the spreadsheet detailing each component. They are a good bit more expensive than vanhaven and their workshop is full. Till at least mid September,

I managed to get a good deal Shiply for transporting the van... I will post before and after photos on here. Thinking of getting concave alloys

Upgraded to vip membership

Couple of questions, what do people think of axe alloy wheels. I'm considering these for my blue t6 32

II'm liking the concave alloys in general

Also considering the kenwood
The DNX518VDABS DNX518VDABS Volkswagen Multimedia System • KENWOOD UK with a view to having reversing cam fitted

Finally, any thoughts on alacantra cab roof lining and what colour would look good with black leather seats? Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Check the Axe website and possible an email to them to check the weight rating of any alloy wheel you are putting on a T32.

With regards to audio questions ask there are a number of T6 audio specialist on here. Use the search function about T32 wheels & audio equipment.

Since people think vanhaven is very expensive, what do you think of the prices from exploria on the spreadsheet I posted?

Hi All, thought I would input as I'm becoming obsessed with all things related to the Transporter.
I bought a T5.1 Highline Kombi at auction last year which came with 20" alloys, exploria bed, night heater, lined in rear and wind out awning.
I'm useless at DIY but managed to put in a swivel to front double seats...
I've now bought a domestic fridge so looking forward to a cold somewhere in Scotland and beyond.
This forum has helped me so much,
Thanks!
Gerry

Had a wee look through yer spread sheet and only thing I can coment on is the tints is I to have a long wheelbase shuttle and had all my windows done ,so both sliders ,both quarters and tailgate , now I paid 170 plus vat total, so I would say the tint price you were quoted is a bit steep if I read it correctly , ad also point out the company I used is very well know we're I live in Glasgow so not the cheepest place I could have got
