Hello from Scotland

Hi!
new t6 owner from the south of Scotland looking forward to getting out and about, been lurking in the back ground for a while, great forum lots of great info.

Specifically, a T32 Panel van Highline SWB EU6 204 PS TDI BMT DSG 4MOTION.

It's 4 years old and bought for work. It will remain a very clean work van, but I intend to address sound deadening, insulation and audio. Oh, and the not-comfortable-for-me seats!

I can see there is a wealth of info on this site, so I'm looking forward to interacting.

Hi from Ayrshire, after cancelling a new T6.1 RHD, managed to source a LHD which is what I needed anyway - for those EU trips as abled disabled.

Pure Grey should be here just before Xmas - and at 25k nearly new 2 seater PV, vs 32K 3 seat Rhd - no brainer. 66KW though, so thats getting tuned, cos well the other car is a Passat Alltrack - last of the manuals, and it too wont be a stranger to some light dirt track roads, but swampered. Nearly said Feck it tho, and having the two T6.1 and selling the WölfeWagen estate.

Now the fun begins, its only going to be a mobile hotel room, 2 humans, 2 big dogs, one that needs crated cos he is a shit. After the palather of covid, brexit, and the change from pet passports at the chunnel this year - I might as well fit a bar than a kitchen pod.

Wants- over the next year.
Oem VW head unit with nav, I like to tinker, parkpilot.
Kitchen for coffee, fridge,, sink and a Wallas duo.
Oem Cali window, slidersm cut out and fitting.
Lined like the inside of a yacht - but with sorbi floor for grip and keeping lashing points.
Currently thinking fixed bed in two parts with gas struts, or u shaped lounge.
Electric, side bars, 2000w peak sine, 220wh duel battery as its bluemotioned.
Swamper 17 inch wheels and BFO tyres.

So expect lots of daft questions, like the one I had about why my Passat's lights werent working, cos some fecker took it aff auto setting while dain the mot.

Hi Folks,

Been lurking for a few days and thought it was time to post and introduce myself. I'm James, I'm based on the Highlands of Scotland and I have just purchased a 2017 T32 SWB 150 DSG Highline. It's actually been my company car since new and when my employer announced it would be traded in I bit the bullet and bought it.

When I ordered it I spec'd the following:

T32
Removable towbar
Dual passenger seat in cab
2+1 rear bench
Mud flaps
Front & Rear LED lights
Rear camera
Composition media system

I have covered 94,000 miles in 4.5 years with it and it's been one of the best vehicles I've ever owned, hence why I coughed up the eye-watering amount of cash that used T6's go for. My wife and I have 4 kids and the van has been so versatile, we can fit all 6 of us plus the kids quad or dirt bikes in the back and then within a few minutes i can pull the rear bench out and get 8x4 sheets of material or a couple of adult sized dirt bikes.

Now that's it's my own vehicle I can start the mods, my plan is:
1) Sportline bumper + lower splitter
2) LED fogs, they look rubbish in yellow when perched below the lovely LED headlights
3) Black smoked side repeaters
4) Sportline Rear spoiler
5) paint all front grills in Gloss black including the badge. Possibly put a green or orange stripe on the grills
6) considering wrapping the plastic interior panels in the back with carpet. Is it worth insulating the van panels behind it to reduce road noise or is it pointless without doing the wheel tubs and all the exposed metal in the back and then wrapping all of that in carpet? With being used to carry occasional construction materials the rear panels are a bit stained/scuffed and the grey colour is a bit naff. MVM seems to get good reviews on here for being easy to apply and durable?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Cheer Guys!
