Just ordered OEM sliding window and a solid one for a day camper conversion.
Petro, as the owner of a conversion with one sliding window behind the hob/sink I'm considering changing the fixed/solid window in the sliding door to a sliding window. Sliding window's behind the hob often mean you have to put your arm across a heat source/cooking pan to open/shut/adjust the window which is behind a lifted glass hob lid. I accept it's marginally better if the window is behind the sink but not much better. To ventilate the van while using the hob and even just to open a window it's much easier to operate one in the sliding door which usually has nothing to obstruct operation. Two sliding windows would seem to be the best setup.
I'm going to look at this once lockdown lifts, although the last thing I want to do is exchange a less than perfect but but watertight set up for a perfect but leaky setup : -)
Edit to add : If anyone has done this I'd be be grateful for any comments, is it straight forward to remove a fitted window and replace it?
