What Have You Bought Today?

Not a successful day for me and my van. Bought Van Style side bars which were too challenging to fit. Gonna have to get some specialist help. Also bought some Customveedubs shorty mud flaps but realised as I want to put wheel arch mouldings on - the mud flaps won't work.:oops:

That price is for an aftermarket tray without sound deadening, bit more than that for genuine. It helps protects the underside of the engine and reduces the sound. Its not a crucial purchase but worth getting one if want to look after your motor
Is it not possible to get an aftermarket one and add your own sound deadening? A lot of folks are going to have some lying around from their conversion? That has to save a few quid when the business isn't paying the bills?

You could do

Frustrating when it doesn’t go to plan which is 90% of the time for me anyway  the oe mudflaps might work with the arch mouldings as they sit further back? they get a lot of stick but I think they’re ok.

I’ve just fitted them …. Found a tip on YouTube … use some stiff wire to thread some fishing line through the two holes tie it onto the end of the bolt and pull it through …. This is the only way to get the front supports sorted

I looked at the Vanstyle side bars, but not the straight ones. What was the problem with fitting?

Let me know when you expect it - surprisingly battery group can't tell me when I'm getting mine!
Bluetti website (banner at the top of the page) says 2-5 days but when you view their shipping policy it says......

'We need 1 to 3 working days to process the order, and usually 4-7 days later you will receive your products. The shipping may be delayed for some objective or uncontrolled reasons. We will notice our customer ahead for delays.'

After a few days of deliberation I pulled the trigger on the Bluetti EB70 with its current sale price. Will keep my laptop powered for some time (amongst other stuff of course) :)

I was toying with fitting a new lithium leisure battery , £499 or the Bluetti that you can you can keep when you sell the van. The EB70 looks the way forward

It wasn't straight forward. The under tray has to be cut and it is going to tight alongside heater. Just trickier than I thought it would be and I will need to pay for help

Thank you very much. Will give it another go. The side bars look awesome but the van wasn't on a ramp which made it harder and the positioning of my heater makes it harder to access the bung. Also the pictures on the instructions bear no resemblance to the underside of my van
