What Have You Bought Today?

Bought one of these as an early Christmas present. Fair play to the ply guys I asked for some modifications and they were more than happy to help out. Brilliant bunch of people. This is now fitting nice and snug in my ovano draw and looks the dogs....

We’ve got a Ply Guys install in our van. They custom made a part for our fit too which is now part of their catalogue. Their work is great as is their social media stuff!

I go shorty flaps, just made sure I put a bit of pressure on them to pull them down as far as possible while I tightened the screws - no rubbage

They make a surprising difference to the amount of crud that gets thrown over the van.
Take them off periodically to remove any dirt build up behind them
You were right mate - top of the mudflap did rub the door. 10 seconds with a craft knife and both trimmed down to clear the door. Thanks for the pointer

Do you have any photos of it fitted in the Ovano please?

I've added a few photos to give you a better idea.

I had the height of the lower storage area increased by 70mm did this so that a 500 size gas canister and regulator could stand up.

I also had an extra hole drilled in the second shelf to allow the gas pipe to go through to the top where I use a cadac pro 3.

If you need any more photos or information happy to help.

Got a breakaway cable John?

(Not a legal requirement un an unbraked trailer but never a bad idea!)
Yes as there is one with the trailer, this was my own original trailer that I towed behind our motor homes between 2014 and 2017, then we bought a motorhome with that much storage we didn’t need the trailer so our son had it and it’s stood for 7 years outside.I also put new tyres on it 7 years ago so I will have to check them out.

Good idea, I've got an Ifor Williams twin axle braked 2.5 tonne trailer and although the tyres had loads of tread the sidewalls were cracked through age and I had to replace them, I should have been checking them more often.
While I'm confessing my sins, I once had a small unbraked trailer come off the hitch on a farm track, thankfully not a public road, and the potential consequences frightened me so much I've become a bit OCD on the subject. Worse was to come when a lad I knew had a chipper become unhitched from his van and killed a woman. As in my case it was human error, not checking properly. Sorry, I don't mean to preach!

Today I bought an electric winch to pull my loaded trailer up our steep drive, think I will have to buy a lithium battery to operate the winch as well.

Early Christmas present fitted yesterday by Absolut5  halo 11, Gladen fronts, underseat sub / app.. country mile better than the oem unit and a drive up north this morning to try it out

Looks great. If I had the money I'd get my audio upgraded too. I already have an Alpine headunit from @Absolut5. There will be no space for an underseat sub because Jason and his crew are upgrading my van electrics early in the new year with seat base battery and other related toys. I might have to ask him to demo the upgrade sound whilst I am there if he has anything in the workshop to demo from. I might then have to add that to the list of rear camera and diesel heater. :)

Stretching this a little as the Mrs was awesome and bought me them for Christmas, but full set of THQ black / smoked lights for my T6.1 - V1 smoked headlights, smoked side repeaters, smoked / black rear lights and brake light to match. To say I was made up is an understatement :D:D:D:D:D
I thought I'd done well! Wow!
