What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Well? How was it?
bit strange comparing it to the old van. It defini felt more like driving a big echoing van, which it is lol. I was impressed with it. But it’s never relaxing driving a brand new van. I’m happy now though. It’s a relief to drive it after all this time lol. Thanks for asking :)

Congratulations again! First drive in brand new van/car is always nervy.....it’s just that we normally don’t have to look at it on the drive for so long beforehand!!!

On with fitting budget home made table top with Sequoia table key system. Left over ply with laminate flooring planks. Edging strip to be added.

Well I wanted carplay in my campervan but did not want all the singing and dancing head unit.

My friend had this unit:

Had everything I needed and for the price cannot fault it. Then fitting it was a pain until I contacted Jason at
www.AbsoluT5.co.uk - VW T5/6 specialist, Pendle Performance agent, audio, carpet & vinyl lining, electrics, and much more....!!!
Nothing was to much trouble for him and even posting it to Spain was the iceing on the cake.

Kit arrived: Facia, canbus adapter, fm adapter and guide (including fitting a camera) - Out with the basic heard unit and in with the new.

Could not be happier - THANK YOU so much Jason for all your help.

Now all I need is this bloody lockdown/travel to be lifted here and I can test the system to the full.

Fitted one of these. Very impressed.
Will be carpeting it and lining the pockets soon to match the rest of the door.

Also ordered the blinds and brackets to make some ‘van shades’.

Did you buy the head unit from Jason?

No direct from amazon, not sure he would stock it as well below his standard of stuff.
That’s what I thought. Stunning service from him to help a forum member with something he didn’t even sell! I’m very impressed and fair dues to him. That’s @Absolut5 @ChrisR @BognorMotors and @CRS Performance I’ve seen on here repeatedly helping forum members with products they haven’t sold.

Whilst not something I’ve done to my van, i purchased these for my van:

I can’t tell you how good the service was from CCTV kits and @amdowney. The advice from them was solid and the kit is quality!! What’s more, when it arrived i realised they are a super local company! Thanks Adam, for the service and the peace of mind....

Good stuff! I’m also engaged with Adam drawing up a spec for a discreet solution. (In fairness, I haven’t given him an easy task but we are working it out with virtual “tours”, pictures and sketches! What’s great is that different solutions and options are put forward - wired and wireless.) We hope to come to a decision this week. The the real fun of an install begins!
