I’m quite used to the midges as get plenty where I’m from but it’s one good thing about the wind, it’s keeping them away. I don’t think it’s every overly busy here. Campsite is busy enough but beaches are that big and there are plenty so all seem quiet.
 
Not a nice enough view to warrant a picture but I took my van to the VW Van Centre in Swindon (AKA Fish Brothers) for service, MOT and cam belt/water pump replacement. I can only trust that the workshop technical abilities are good but the customer facing staff in the service dept seemed quite knowledgeable and efficient - it's just a shame that they're so far from me but I prefer the long drive to taking the van to Tewesbury who are my closest VW approved place.

PS. I forgot to say that the downside is that parking there is an absolute nightmare. I got lucky by arriving 20 minutes before they opened and grabbed what I think was the the last space on the forecourt (and in the immediate area).

Almost went for that one ourselves! Went to the Balranald at the RSPB instead.

Make sure you get up Rueval on Benbecula if you can, as the only hill on the island you get the whole island laid out in front of you, and great views in all directions.
