JOG when you brought the caravan did you ask the sales guy "get me the biggest tourer money can buy"

Mine’s the old model - only 7’6” wide! It’s now available in 8’ wide! We lived in it for 6 months at home on the drive as we knocked the house about completely!!!

Almost went for that one ourselves! Went to the Balranald at the RSPB instead.

Make sure you get up Rueval on Benbecula if you can, as the only hill on the island you get the whole island laid out in front of you, and great views in all directions.

Cheers, was last day on uists today and don’t think I’d make that with the kids in tow - maybe next time. Was around south uist today finding any small side roads to see what beaches we could find… ferry to Barra tomorrow…

Deauville La Valley Campsite the British Normandy Memorial and Arromanches to see the Mulberry harbours.

Went out to Castleton yesterday first thing in the morning before it got too hot for a bike ride, through Edale, Hope, up passed by Pindale cement works, down into Castleton where I stopped for a Bradwells ice cream, then up the old Mam Tor road, which was more like an unofficial camper van/motorhome site, some of which looked like semi permanent homes, then back to the van. Around a 30 KM ride. Quite enjoyable, despite it being quite warm.

Yes! Especially if you have a raclette!

We had a couple of galettes and drinks which was €28. We looked at going on the cable car, but didn't after seeing the prices.

Seeing all the snow on top of the hill did make me think. If there was still snow down in the town, it would be a bugger to have to clear it in all this heat.
