Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

@The Flying Scotsman
The thing that makes me laugh is people like your mate moan about having to have a waste carriers licence but if he actually looked it up he'd find out that he would probably get one for free if he only carry's waste he has created

I had a big ding dong with Kent police after they put up pictures of me and my van all over their social media saying what a good day they had clamping down on people with no waste carriers licence turns out I was the only one with waste licence who had been pulled over

Maybe so but neither me or my mate had any idea we need special licenses to carry old bits of wood in a joiners van.
I’m glad you found a hard working guy getting done for doing his job so amusing.

probably don't bother with public liability insurance either if he can't be bothered with something thats free

Getting clamped in Slovakia

They’ve introduced pay parking however the apps not English friendly and quite challenging to use.

€20 so not that much bother and the Police came in 5 mins of being called . However had to borrow cash from person I had been visiting to pay as it’s cash only, then go to the bank to get cash and then park up again without paying whilst running up five flights to repay the loan

We have gone to watch the Tour Down under cycle race. It comes to Adelaide each January. It's a stage race over a week and is part of the UCI world Tour.
All the teams who compete in the Tour de France are competing
We are about 60km south of where we live and will stay the night in Langhorne Creek where the first intermediate sprint took place .
This camp ground is a 72 hour maximum stay and is only $5 a night.
Tomorrow we will move to watch the race finish on top of Willunga Hill. The cyclists climb it twice and it's an uphill sprint finish, very exciting. 20240119_131749.jpg20240119_131958.jpg20240119_131844.jpg20240119_125642.jpg

Looks good @AussieMick .
We have used our van to watch the Tour de France, the Giro and Paris Roubaix.
At least the weather looks better there than the Giro in Italy last year !

If anyone is interested the 2024 Tour Down Under was won by Stephen Williams of Great Britain.
Today's stage was another mountain top finish. They climbed Mount Lofty 3 times with the last time up Mt Lofty was a sprint finish.

Of course! As you Aussies keep telling us, we Brits are only successful at events that you compete in whilst sitting down. :fast rofl:
I don't know, darts is an energetic sport that Brits are good at! The miles they must do! Carrying all that weight! Wow...
