We bought some tasty home made pies for tea in Portree. So just plugged the vans EHU into the EcoFlow and heated them up in the vans microwave. It only used about 6%.Would a tammy be a tam-o'-shanter by any chance?
Did you dance on the bridge (as per the french song)We drove from Collioure to Avignon yesterday as it's a place that we've passed a number of time and each time said 'we must go there one day'. It's a large(ish) city but the historic town (and 'Pont d'Avignon') is well worth it, even in the temperatures that we've got at the moment (early 30s). When we arrived at Camping du Pont d'Avignon there was a lot of motorhomes, vans and campers waiting to book in but it all went smoothly and the site wasn't as busy as we first feared. There's an OK restaurant on site and a pool if that's your thing at €32 per night. We've decided to head back to the beach tomorrow and plan on driving to Camping La Petite Motte in La Grande Motte in the morning for 5 or 6 days. We've been there before and that experience tells us that it's wise to be there when reception opens at 1400 hrs, preferably ahead of the hordes of large motorhomes that descend on it. This campsite in Avignon is on what they say is the largest river island in Europe but there's a free ferry taking passengers back and forward across the Rhone about 600 metres from the site entrance to about 30 metres from the city walls.View attachment 248068View attachment 248069

@The Flying Scotsman What site was that?Out of curiosity how much are you for a night there?
Reason I asked is we stopped in at a caravan club campsite at Loch Ness. To charge all our batteries and for a shower and were charged £61 for the night with electric. The site had a nice big toilet block that was it. Nothing else. And as much as it’s at the side of the loch it’s a good bit up the hill. And my shower was just warm enough to stand under.
Will be the last caravan club site we ever stop at.
