I have two T4 owners on my route to work that wave every morning and they even wave at me now in my 21 year old polo! Not sure if they know it's still me, but they wave before I do and smile!

Yes, the middle finger of the right hand raised vertically, the bend the index finger round to meet the thumb to form a circle, them turn this horizontal and move the hand um and down three times

Hi all, I've recently come the the Transporter T6 world after 14 years with a 110 Defender, one of the things i miss is the Landy Wave whenever you passed another Defender there was always a wave. I cant help myself giving a wave or thumbs up when another cherished Transporter passes but you dont often get a wave back, so am i alone or do you give a nod to another Dub when you see one?

Its worth remembering that to most people, its just a van.

Just got a wave from a T5 with what looked like a rising sun cover on the bonnet.

Agreed - I definitely get more waves returned in the Defender than I do in the T6. As pointed out though I think to most people they are just a van. Even with the Defender, when driving around, say, the Peak or Lake District, where most Defenders are Farmers’ work horses, you rarely get waves returned.

I intend to wave at modded T5' and T6's when mine arrives, but not your average builders van.

I get lots of waves in my alternate car, us V8 Mustang owners are a friendly bunch
