I don't know how to get the oil ash residue in Carista!
Just looked and the soot level in Carista corresponds to the soot level in the aft app:

That's about all I can tell! Should I be looking for something else in the Carista App?

I'm afraid I don't know my way around Carista to advise. In VCDS you'd open Advanced Measuring Values and check the data. Does Carista have anything similar to just view live data?

I think I can see where the calculation has changed in 2022 ECUs. How many miles have you got on the vehicle?

Ok. So dug around in Carista and still can't find oil ash residue but found the time and distance since last regen is also squiffy:

The time is correct, it's just showing in minutes instead of hours.

Does 57 kilometers (35 miles) seem plausible to have been covered in 12 hours? Lots of short journeys in heavy traffic with the engine idling? If so, this is indeed another discrepancy that needs investigating.

The request/response commands to/from the ECU have a habit of changing, often just single values though (like oil ash for example). I will need to add a new engine group for folks with this engine to use that has the correct calculations.

I wouldn't have though that seemed right as vehicle has not been sat stationary with ignition on, or been in heavy traffic...... just fairly steady driving with no remarkable traffic.

That was my thought too, it did seem rather improbable.

How about 355 miles? That'd be an average speed of around 30mph over the last 12 hours of engine on time.

I think Carista is correct at 57km, but no idea where the 12 hours came from. Doesn't seem right in Carista or the DPF app!

Could you show me 22208D and 222089 from the Terminal screen when you have the chance please? Must be another calculation change somewhere.

As a side note, it would be interesting to observe what happens as you drive down the road. If the distance since regen is correct, the increment to the value should line up with your odometer incrementing.

I'll be doing a few hundred miles this weekend. I'll report on my findings shortly.

Here's the requested terminal screenshot:

Thanks. I've identified that the distance is multiplied by 10 when it shouldn't be. Your ECU is showing 57.2km as the distance which correlates with what Carista displays. This is currently being multiplied by 10 to 572km (355 miles). I'll amend this.

To confirm, are you currently using Engine Group 3?

Not sure what's going on with the "Time since last regen though!

Could you grab the data from the Terminal for 22208D, 222089, and 22406C again please. That should help work out the calculation for time since regen.

I've sent you a TestFlight link. There have been some updates to Group 3 that aren't currently on the App Store. If you could give that a go and let me know whether it's any better that'd be fantastic.

Many bluetooth devices connect to apps without you needing to pair them and do not appear in phones’s Bluetooth list.

Anyone shed any light on what I am looking at here please. Recently got the app with Carista.

It’s all new to me.

Your DPF is due to regenerate. You're getting quite some distance in between regenerations which is a good sign. If you tap Oil Ash Residue you'll see a percentage, this is how much available life has been used up.
