Thank you so much, I manually converted it to ODIS format, uploaded to the module, and all is working after changing some adaptations in the Discover Media :D I have no excuse for reversing into things any more :p

I am hoping to catch up soon, my radars have arrived, just waiting on the plugs for them. Wiring should be straight forward thanks to my previous direct TPMS retrofit :D just the mirror LEDs which I will add later on, it is the view in ParkPilot I like the most.

With regards to upgrading the ABS from T5.1 to T6, I also looked at this and it does not look straightforward at all. From what I can see from photos, the ports on the top do not line up, they are staggered on the T5.1 version, but in a straight line on the T6. Also the thread sizes change from "big little little big" on T5.1 to "little big little big" on T6. So replacement brake lines would have to be made to do a proper job.

On a separate note, the T5.1s that came with side assist have a button in the dash to turn the system off, obviously this is with 7E0 radars, looks like it's just switching an earth. Does anyone know if this is possible to use with the 5Q0 radars, as it would remove one of the few remaining blanks from my dash :cool:

I will just add that the replacement of sensors in my case was not pink, after 17 years the sensors (plastic bodies) were integrated into the body of the rocker arm. It was necessary to drill (drill diameter 8 and 6) and extract the remains of the sensor, quite a time-consuming job.
Additionally, I tried to install a bi-directional sensor on the front axle, it results in the error below (for that particular ABS long coding):

What do mean "really slow"? How many kilometers of driving?
I'd expect it would reach 100%/100% in less than 100 km's.

At what angle the sensors are installed?

For the calibration - I believe (only) the following are worth monitoring - eventually the last two here.

I have finally fitted my radars (5Q0) to my T5.1. In my box of bits I had a glut of M4 brass screws and plastic 'polo' spacers which came in very handy.

The only tip I can give in addition to what's already posted, is when drilling the holes for mounting, I wanted to paint the metalwork but was worried about overspray. I used the cardboard tube from an empty toilet roll (no panic buying here) and it just covered a small area. Don't know why I didn't think of this before :D M4 rivnuts inserted afterwards.

Unfortunately VCDS didn't like it, and was complaining big time of no ROD file, presumably because it's not supposed to be used on this platform. I tried copying one and adding VN75 to the end but it still didn't like it. Any suggestions welcome! In the meantime, ODIS-E to the rescue on VW36x project, the two errors are because the mirror LEDs aren't fitted yet. Just need to let adaptation do its thing, but unfortunately I currently have Covid19 so can't leave the house. It does let me catch up with various other projects though!

The other good news is, my instrument cluster has now shown the menu for side assist. It went greyed out as soon as I tried to tick it, but that's probably due to either the error codes or lack of calibration. I was a bit scared about it not working, as my direct TPMS still doesn't work due to old software on my instrument cluster :unsure:
