What Have You Bought Today?

This arrived today - forced air vehicle dryer with heated filtered air. It’s clearly not gonna dry the whole van, but will be very useful for blasting water out of my fiddly alloys, front grille, wing mirrors, window shuts on the rear sliders etc, after the weekly wash post towel drying. I live in a hard water area, and the van drips trapped water for hours after I’ve washed it, so hoping this will save time and solve a frustration

Can also use it on my barnet if I’m in a rush in the morning ;)

^^^ I’ve got a Stihl leaf blower that I sometimes use to dry vehicles after washing, gives the neighbours some entertainment. :slow rofl:

The neighbours already think I'm as mad as a box of frogs when it comes to my lOwCD car cleaning mate - it'll just give 'em something else to roll their eyes at. I love it - it's my buddhist zen time

Spent 7 hours on it last Sunday - full decon wash followed by a nice old school quality paste wax application - always looks better the wash after a decent wax session, so looking forward to this weekend. I'm a detailing nerd, and hold my head high

You need a DI Vessel. It’s a game-changer - wash, rinse, retire.

I always buy a detachable and never detach it! (Is it just me who does that?!!)
I take mine off from time to time just to make sure it works. They can weld themselves together, or worse still, dry out if there is no grease on them, corrode and loose purchase.

just ordered a full set of covers from Seat Skinz in Wigan, hope they turn out like the design in my head!! just got to wait for them to be made now!!!! Having seen the quality of the ones my buddy had from them I cant wait!!!

Are those the clip over covers? Or, is it a retrim?

Covers, but they fit them for you so they look awesome. I looked at retrimming and it was twice the price at least. They don't look like covers when fitted going on the ones I have seen in the flesh unless you really look for it.

So, a day out in Wigan for fitting?!!

Got one pal - the water's so hard in my area it pretty much oozes out the hose pipe in lumps, lol. Renders the D.I. resin useless after a few weeks, making it a PITA and too expensive to practically keep it topped up with fresh resin and working properly. Been there, loved it for a bit, then gave up on it...
