Interesting recent YouTube video showing the effects cross bars, bird poop, leaves etc have on the charging capacity. Can't remember the guys channel, but he's down in Cornwall puts out lots of VW camper related content.

I didn’t fit the cross bars as not intending to carry anything but imagine they would block the panel / cast a shadow that would affect charging.

I hoped the tech would have moved along by now. I know when I had solar fitted at home shade was an issue
