Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

I like the canopy arm coming down to the van at the back. What do you do at the front? I’ve been thinking about something similar, but couldn’t figure out what to do at the front.
Hi drinfinity.....the front bracket fits on the psassenger door..This is the standard fitting used by converter "Frontline", (40 year established) for Fiama S45.. I had my doubts about front door mounting but it is fine, reinforcing plate fitted behind bracket, only thing , you can't open passenger door when using that way. We have swivel seats so easy to get anything in door pockets anyhow. I have seen the fitting put on the flap panel under the fuel cap door too, but not sure if that is for the same length canopy. Cheers.

I’m using search for sites app.
Sorry, my terminology probably wasnt great, I meant where did you buy it from? My bad :think smile bounce:
i got it from Chippys workshop but they are showing out of stock.
It’s this with an extra bracket allowing front or rear mounting.

Cambridge to Eastbourne and back hoping the dreaded yellow Engine Management light didn’t make an appearance. All good in the end. Returned average of 43.4 mpg so I’m happy with that.

Cold and windy weekend at the National Trust’s Upper Booth Farm Campsite near Edale in the Peak District. Only us and one other group here so far so almost got the site to ourselves View attachment 232239
Never sure if the Peaks look their best mean & moody or on a blue-sky summer's day.

We are at a music festival in a small country town in Victoria.
It is hot hot hot. 42 degrees Celsius in the shade
We rode our bikes into the town this morning and went to the local swimming then to the pub for lunch and then back to the pool and rode home wet but were dry within 2 km
Today is a day of total fire ban due to the weather so we can't cook anything outside today. That's why we had a decent meal for lunch.
Shade is welcome so all shade sails are out.
Shading the van really helps the fridge as it doesn't run as often.
Hot weather gives as much of a challenge as very cold weather.
We have a second fridge only for cold drinks and one for food.
Due to running 2 fridges you need plenty of solar. 20240309_163616.jpg20240309_163705.jpg

I had to start and stop the van a couple of times to move it off and put it back on the drive to give me room to clean my other car on Friday so I decided to give it a proper run down the motorway and into Gloucester to pick up a few bits and pieces. Trust me, Gloucester wasn't worth a picture but at least the van got a decent blast out of it - apart from the aforementioned couple of stop starts, it was the first time it had even been moved in a couple of months.

@cgtmiles. Well done you but IMHO that's the only part of the city centre worth a picture or even a second glance - it's a shame really as there's some real history to the place but most of it's buried under ugly grey concrete. I also tend to avoid the place as far as possible and yesterdays trip was only to a retail park on the edge of the city.

I think you may have said something similar when I originally post that photo :)

@cgtmiles. At least I'm consistent! After I posted it, I realised that it might upset some of my near(ish) neighbours who are also members on here and, on that basis, I apologise to anybody who was offended - it's just my perhaps ill informed opinion.
